The NWS Wakefield SKYWARN Amateur Radio Support Team is a team of dedicated volunteers who collect reports from the amateur radio community for relay to the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Wakefield, Virginia. Our footprint spans 66 counties and independent cities in portions of three states, covering over 3.6 million residents.

Area 1 - Richmond - Activation may be needed
Area 2 - Southside VA - Activation may be needed
Area 3 - Williamsburg/Smithfield - Activation may be needed
Area 5 - Southeast VA - Activation may be needed
Area 7 - Northeast NC - Activation may be needed
Area 8 - Northern Neck - Activation is not expected
Area 51 - North Delmarva*WL2K - Activation is not expected
Area 52 - South Delmarva*WL2K - Activation is not expected

.. DISCUSSION ..

Scattered showers and storms are possible each day from Tuesday
through Friday. Locally heavy rainfall and isolated instances of
flash flooding are possible each day. A few storms could also become
strong to severe Tuesday afternoon, with damaging wind gusts as the
main threat.
